Schizophrenia Treatment

Schizophrenia presents a wide array of symptoms including auditory hallucinations (hearing voices), suspicion and paranoia, delusions of all kinds, including persecution and of being pursued by the police or other authorities. Combined with this are symptoms common to depression: apathy and social withdrawal. They often refuse to recognise their symptoms are due to illness, and insist that people are "out to get them".

As these symptoms are well covered by many homeopathic remedies such as Kali bromatum, Arsenicum, Anacardium, Anhalonium, Mancinella, Platina, Cicuta, Lachesis and Stramonium, with accurate prescribing the homeopath has assured success against this condition.

Multiple Personality Disorder Treatment

A related and controversial problem is multiple personality disorder, also known as dissociative identity disorder. Symptoms may resemble schizophrenia, with delusions and hallucinations, and also bipolar disorder, with episodes of mania alternating with depression. The unique feature is the presence of two or more distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and relating to others and the self. At least two of these identities or personality states are frequently in control of the person's behaviour.

This dissociation, or splitting off, may frequently be the result of deep emotional trauma, such as occurs in sexual abuse, where the splitting helps compensate for the trauma of the abuse. In homeopathy, we may use several of the remedies mentioned under schizophrenia for this extreme presentation, but particularly Platina and Anacardium.
